The View to the Southeast

 

In the dead center, on top of the dark hilltop, you can just barely make out the Sutro Tower antenna. Slightly below and to the left is UC Med Center. Also visible under the right circumstances: the red roof of Temple Emanu-el, the green verdi gris roof of the Palace of the Legion of Honor, seal rocks and the Cliff House, the towers of Park Merced and, at night, the floodlights in the parking lot of the Stonestown mall. The white swath on the left cliffside is where all the fancy Muir Beach houses are - the whiteness appears to be bird guano.
